Happy New Year to all as we move through January of 2013. As the holidays fade away into the past we should all be taking a deep breath and welcoming the new year with thoughts of gratitude and health. Unfortunatly most of us use this first break in our busy schedule to self-reflect in a negative way….standing too close to our wardrobe mirrors. At this distance, we wonder why the holidays can so quickly melt away, but the extra pounds or wrinkles we seemed to have gained during them cannot. At this distance we are overly critical, focusing not only on what we see in the mirror at this present moment, but also dwelling in past moments filled with delicious food, drink and possibly an overindulgence of sweet treats. We berrate ourselves, our bodies and our minds often feeling completely lost for the “lack of discipline” we displayed over the past month. We make resolutions of fat-fighting, gut-busting exercise regimes, super strict diets and withdrawal from all things delicious. We vow to focus on “getting healthy” this year – although our definition of healthy is often being slim enough to fit into our July pants, and smearing ourselves with creams to give us what the cosmetics companies call “the true you shining through” or the “healthy glow”. We forget that true health comes from the union and resolution of body, mind and soul. That true wealth is finding the joy and value all the things we take for granted. We forget that we tend to put so much emphasis on what we are trying to achieve that we neglect to acknowledge all the things we have…..

Move yourself far enough away from the mirror that, while you can see the need for a little more exercise this winter, you understand that one of the greater health benefits is to keep your spirits up as we drift into the dreariness of February. We see that yes, we may have overindulged a little in all things wonderful holiday season, but that we were fortunate enough to the have the ability and the opportunity to do so. At this distance, we can see that all the negative emotions we saddle ourselves with at this time of year do us NO justice, and that they simply add to our mounting stress levels.

Grant yourself the ability to tackle one thing at a time, to forgive yourself (if you feel you need to), to encourage yourself to be the best person you can be and to understand that the process is as much (if not more) a part of being as the end result. Challenge yourself to start living a stress-free life where you are allowed to make mistakes. Re-evaulate your life not for the elements which you feel can be improved upon or are missing, but with gratitude for all that you have and all that you are at this very moment in time.

Have you noticed your own stress levels?
• Do you feel more hurried?
• Do you feel that you are doing more yet accomplishing less?
• Do you feel that there is less time or that time has accelerated?
• Do you feel more stressed to get projects completed?

What happens?
Dr. Bruce Lipton, author, researcher, and quantum biologist explains that if the
body stays in a stress state long enough, illness and disease are likely to
This is the process that creates 95% of all disease and illness according to Dr. Lipton’s research because of stress in the body’s autonomic nerve system. With stress and negative emotions, aging is only accelerated. How does the human race stop this?
The Answer Lies within
The answer on how to reduce stress & look younger might be satisfied by our own hands. With today’s hectic pace of life, both men and women are finding themselves with less and less time for themselves which is why “Emotional Freedom Face-Lift” was written.
It gives a simple- like brushing your teeth routine- to lessen the burdens, feel more at peace within and look younger.
The answers truly are within……. and we can listen to them when ‘at peace’!
