COMMON 'SCENTS' ALTERNATIVES

There are safer and more effective alternatives to using common household posions.  Why place yourself and your children at risk for another day?

TIP #1 for HEAD LICE

If your child has head lice, using pesticides and insecticides like lindane or permethrin can cause serious side effects to your child including:
  • seizures,
  • behavioral changes,
  • neuro-muscular complaints,
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD),
  • chronic skin eruption,
  • cancer, and
  • death.
Instead, use a natural mixture of essential oils to remove their head lice as follows:

Mix together these essential oils:
  • 20 drops Rosemary
  • 10 drops Geranium
  • 20 drops Lavender
  • 10 drops Eucalyptus
  • 30 drops Tea Tree or Melaleuca (alternifolia)
Add mixture to 1/2 cup of olive oil and then rub into your child's scalp and leave overnight.

TIP #2 for BATHROOM DISINFECTANT

Mix 50 to 100 drops of Eucalyptus or Oregano essential oils with a litre of water
Shake and use in a spray bottle.

TIP #3 for SCOURING POWDER (sinks and bathtubs)

Add 3 - 5 drops of Lemon, Purification, Lavender, Orange, or Lemongrass oils to baking soda.
Mix well.  Scrub with a damp sponge.
